2-pc afternoon gown of 2-tone green silk taffeta & satin in horizontal stripes of various widths w/ vertical stripes in 2-tone black for plaid effect, double box pleated rows of green-blue paper silk satin ribbon trim to bodice front, peplum & pagoda sleeve, attached lace extended collar & ruched net under sleeves w/ black velvet ribbon in whip stitch, broad double flat bow w/ tails accenting back of elbow & singular at CF, c. 1854, B 36", W 26.5", L 18.5"-20.5", skirt W 28", L 42.5", (underarm stains, holes in lace cuffs & collar, staining CF bow, 2 tiny holes below right SH, 2 light stains to back SHs & light stains throughout skirt) very good.
