Our May 12th Historic Fashion & Textile auction welcomes the spring with a fast-paced vintage extravaganza. As we all eagerly await the end of the pandemic winter, we are hopeful this may prove to be our final exclusively online sale.   This extraordinary catalog of new-to-market vintage treasures is primarily populated with de-accessed pieces from numerous museums and historical societies with a few private collections sprinkled in for good measure. With so many new and never-before-seen finds, this promises to be another spectacular spring sale - full of surprises.

Rare items offered include: a mid 18th century gown owned by Faith Savage Waldo and made of exquisite c. 1740 Spitalfields silk, a collection of 1850s & 1860s silk day & evening gowns from The Museum of the City of New York, a rare and exceptional late 1880s Emile Pingat mantle, as well as works Dior, Adrian, Irene, Bonnie Cashin and more.

Menswear will be well represented in this auction with a collection of mid 19th C separates, two exceptionally well preserved early 20th C suits, 1930s & 1940s loungewear and more.

Also included in this sale are numerous Chinese robes, traditional clothing and textiles from around the globe, a exquisite collection 1920s beaded & lame' garments, designer coats, hats, lingerie & foundations, Victorian gowns, bathing costumes & great finds from every era of the 19th & 20th centuries.
