Our October Historic Fashion & Textile auction in New York City is filled with never-before-offered vintage gems, promising to be another great sale full of surprises. Our posted catalog of rare clothing, textile objects and fashion accessories come from many American museums, estates and private collections. 

This auction features more than 100 items Items from the wardrobe of Katharine Hepburn from the collection of the Kent State University Museum. These are being sold with the permission of the Estate of Katharine Hepburn for the purpose of the care, maintenance, preservation or conservation of the Hepburn Costume Collection.

At the auction block will be many unseen Hollywood, television, Broadway and personal garments worn by 20th C actress Katharine Hepburn, many with photos of her wearing them at home or on stage.

Some other featured items include early couture gems from the House of Dior including some of the first work for Dior by designer Mark Bohan.  

Also to be sold is an exceptional Madame Gres couture gown owned by a Rockefeller and many rare pieces from the collection of R W de Forest's family. Robert Weeks de Forest served for eighteen years as the President of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. 

There are Chinese and other ethnic clothing and textiles, many 1920s beaded & lame' garments, including many incredible coats,  hats, silk lingerie &  great finds from every era of the 19th & 20th centuries. There is also an important collection of rare, mid-century Italian designers including Fabiani, Simonetta, Fontana and others
