3-pc gown of cream silk taffeta bodice w/ overlay of chain stitch embroidered cotton tulle, w/ chemical lace applique, ruffles & insertions c/o bodice w/ satin W band into back falls, matching dickie w/ stock collar & trained skirt w/ double pinked flounce, label “Stetson & Chapman, Hartford, Conn.”, bodice B 36”, L 16”, dickie B 34”, L 16”, skirt W 24”, L 42”-56” (lining heavily shattered w/ loose boning in bodice, few light stains up to 1”, light discoloration, few tiny holes in tulle, 1.5” tear dickie right underarm, bodice underarm guards dried out & shedding, bodice expanded w/ side panels) dress very good, lining poor. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
