Entirely hand stitched printed cotton day dress w/ band collar, black cast CF button closures, 2-pc fitted sleeve w/ reinforcement at elbow, full cartridge pleated skirt & matching pellerine w/ self-ruffle, B 34”, W 26”, L 56”, pelerine 20” x 15”, (broad light staining esp. across CF bodice-lap & hem, heavy wear to elbows w/ 5” & 6” period patches, 1” tear CF lap, scattered tiny-0.5” holes, few sm period repairs at hem, light wear to cuffs, pelerine: no closures, few light stains up to 1” & few tiny wear spots at SH) very good; t/w cream check stripe silk taffeta on cinnamon ground & Ribbon stripe printed sheer cotton. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
