1 black wool broadcloth tailcoat, velvet cuffs & band collar w/ gold embroidery, 8 CF & 2 back buttons each inscribed "Honi soit qui mal y pense", Ch 38", CF L 18", CB L 36", (some wear to velvet on collar) excellent; 1 pair white wool breeches, watch pocket, brass buttons & brass buckle at knee, W 31", Inseam 17", very good. Provenance William Shimmin, Mass, worn at French or British court on 1830 trip to Europe.
