Bonnet of fine wool twill w/ silk floss embroidered floral sprig at crown trimmed w/ silk blond lace & fine silk pico edged ribbon festoons at temple, circumference 17", (discoloration & light staining throughout, holes across crown & lining, ties frayed, structural wires wearing through lining & rusty) fair- good; t/w 'Gold Dust' booklet, early 1870s, Provenance: Mary Pritchard, wife of General BD Pritchard, Capt. In the Union Army in 1861.
