1 in raised stylized garland & spot patterned cream silk satin ground, extremely fine hand tailoring, padded chest, 1840s, CH 36", W 29", L 19"-21", (missing buttons, spot stains/discoloration, 4" stain CB lining) excellent; 1 brown cut velvet in floral motif on patterned textured blue silk ground w/ cloisonné buttons, 1850s, CH 37", W 35", L 20"-24.5", (lining worn, CF button detached & pinned on, shattering around buttonholes, some wear, back replaced & made wider at CB collar, lining replaced w/ rayon) good. Provenance: Dorothy Quincy Homestead. The Costume Collection of the National Society for the Colonial Dames of America.
