Bone satin double breasted waistcoat w/ 2 rows of self-covered buttons, high vertical collar & turn back lapels w/ self fabric facings, horizontal banded pocket openings w/ functional lined pockets to lower edge, self-covered buttons, linen backing & front lining, paired back ties of cotton tape, CH 42", W 42", L 24.5", (light discoloration, few tiny holes, pulls & spot stains, light underarm stains, 0.5" stain left B, stained lining, 0.25" worn hole left armscye) excellent. Provenance: Joseph Holmes the Shipbuilder, (1772-1862) Dorothy Quincy Homestead. The Costume Collection of the National Society for the Colonial Dames of America.
