Spring is fast approaching and it's almost time for the most anticipated fashion event of the year, our annual May catalog & Discovery sales. This year our two-day sale will be held on TUESDAY MAY 12th & WEDNESDAY MAY 13th. The sale will be held rain or shine in the ballroom of the Sturbridge Host Hotel - Route 20  - Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

Both of our clothing warehouses are filled with fashion & textile objects that have been hidden away for decades in museum back rooms and the closets of private collectors. We have been amassing these pieces since 2014 especially for this sale.

ABSOLUTE SALE.         EVERYTHING SELLS.           NO MINIMUM BIDS.               NO RESERVES.

Our 2 day auction begins just as the Brimfield Antique fields are winding down for the day. We accept absentee bids for catalog lots. NO PHONE, NO INTERNET bidding.

TUESDAY MAY 12th   Catalog sale of vintage fashion accessories & historic textiles begins promptly at 4PM with the hall opening for preview at 1PM.  Tuesday's catalog sale includes shoes, accessories, hats, jewelry, lace, textiles, etc. Tuesday's catalog sale should last 2 plus hours. Following a short dinner break, we hold Part 1 of our DISCOVERY SALE.  There  is no preview for DISCOVERY - we simply open un-cataloged boxes of fashion items and and sell the fashion treasures inside. Be prepared for the Tuesday evening sale to last well into the night.

WEDNESDAY MAY 13th  Catalog sale begins at 2PM - Wednesday preview begins at noon. The 153 cataloged lots include hanging clothes, dresses, robes, men's suits, etc. Again, absentee bidding is offered on all cataloged lots. Following the catalog sale , we begin opening more Discovery boxes and sell fashion & textile objects late into the evening.

Our now-legendary DISCOVERY sale is the annual fashion event that many collectors, costumers, re-enactors and vintage store owners anxiously await each May.  All DISCOVERY items are uncatalogued and come from museums, institutions and private collections from all over North America. Preview of the thousands of DISCOVERY objects will be encouraged before each table is sold. The boxes are opened and the contents revealed just prior to the bidding. Buy one special piece or the whole table. Be prepared for a long sale filled with incredible finds.

Our May 12th & 13th antique costume and textile auction again takes place during Antique Market Week at Brimfield. Our New England location, the Sturbridge Host Hotel, is less than seven miles east of the Brimfield antique fields and about an hour from Boston’s Logan Airport (BOS) or Hartford, CT Bradley Airport (BDL).  Mention Augusta Auctions when booking your rooms to receive a courtesy discount for your accommodations.

Because of the volume of fashion and textile objects that have to be sold over the two sale days, ABSENTEE bids can only be accepted for the catalog portion of the sale. You MUST ATTEND in person to view and bid on DISCOVERY lots. EVERYTHING that we have been collecting since last year WILL SELL on May 12th & 13th.

Our DISCOVERY & CATALOG SALES feature large trade and collector lots that are guaranteed to please every serious collector of vintage fashion and textiles. Both sales promise treasures from many incredible museum collections over two exciting evenings. Surprises are guaranteed.
